Let me revisit the Huntley Tavern in Summit New Jersey. I almost don't want to write about it because its getting too crowded every time I go there....and I like to sit at the bar. My favorite is just getting a drink and a few appetizers...the spring rolls, sushi tuna are both good. I love the bar pie too, but try to resist because I know I absolutely must have the desert. Its probably the best desert I've ever had anywhere! I don't know the formal name of it or if it has one....it's that banana with ice cream and cookies thingy in the parfait glass. I have yet to get one to myself, but the day is coming soon!

Huntley Tavern in Summit NJ

Great Summit NJ Restaurant....
I had a great time at the Huntley Tavern last night. This is a bar/restaurant located on the outskirts of Summit.
They have a great bar with high ceilings and an almost a ski lodge feel. The huge wrap around porch allows you to sit outside on a nice day. The food and wine are great. I'm very fussy about both and haven't been disappointed yet. Last night I had spicy tuna sushi for the first time there and it was great! I already know I love the crab cake, salmon and bar pies.
If you plan to check it out on a Friday or Saturday night, make reservations because it does get crowded. Its worth a visit.
