Orignally planned back in 1894, the Morris County Golf Club was founded and organized solely by women. As one of the first members of the USGA (becoming a member in 1895) and being the very first golfing establishment to host national championships in New Jersey, this Morristown NJ local attraction is still to this day, one of a kind.

Designed by Seth Raynor in 1916, who designed 13 of the top 100 classical courses throughout North America, of it's 100 plus years of existence, the golf course has witnessed several changes and upgrades, most recently in 2001 when the Club retained the services of Ron Prichard, a well-known golf course architect, to bring the original features back to the century old course. Today, this Morristown NJ golf course is a private equity club consisting of 18 holes, with 6,249 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70, and a slope rating of 124. The course is shorter than many of today's standard courses, and therefore makes accuracy and shot making the focus on play rather than simply just the power behind the shots.
